I love them!! Now I'm curious... how was your lighting and what camera settings did you use?? (If you don't mind sharing secrets!!) I did ones in daylight, but like the glow of these!!
Well, my lighting was pretty terrible because I wanted to take these before we put the lights on the tree. It was dark outside, and so I turned off the lights in the room and just used the ambient light from the next room.
Because of that, my ISO was cranked up to 1600, which explains the poor quality of the pics.
Have you read 'Understanding Exposure'? It's a great, quick read that really helped me understand how to shoot in manual mode. I've never gone back. :)
The other thing that really helps is Photoshop. I survived for a long time with GIMP (a free version), but now I have the real thing and I'm obsessed. I purchased a tutorial online called 'Clean Color', and that helped me understand how to edit my photos without using actions, which makes all the difference, in my opinion. There are lots of ways to do it, but that tutorial was great for me.
